This chapter is enacted under the home rule power of the County to promote the public
health, safety and general welfare by providing regulations for the installation,
use and operation of cable television systems in Orange County. This chapter shall
apply to and be enforced within the unincorporated areas of the County and, to the
extent consistent with Section 704 of the Orange County Charter, within incorporated areas. Should any unincorporated
area become annexed or otherwise become part of an incorporated municipality, then,
subject to Section 704 of the Orange County Charter, this chapter shall cease to have any effect within
such annexed area.
