§ 14-27. General statutory authority.

This article is enacted pursuant to F.S. §§ 893.13(4), 893.16 and 893.165, which sections authorize a county of the state to create a "County Drug Abuse Treatment or Education Trust Fund." Such statutes further provide that such penalty assessments which are levied and paid pursuant to statute in addition to fines shall be deposited in such fund and disbursements shall be made from such fund to such drug abuse treatment or education programs as may be approved annually by the board of county commissioners of a county which creates such a fund.
