§ 14-55. Expenditure of funds; appropriation to law library.

  • All funds transferred to the board of trustees shall be expended by the board of trustees for the purpose of establishment, maintenance and operation of a legal aid bureau as above provided, to the extent such funds shall be required for such purposes as determined by the board of trustees and within thirty (30) days after the end of each calendar year the board of trustees shall pay the entire unexpended and uncommitted balance of such funds then held by the board of trustees into the general fund of the county for use in the operation and maintenance of the law library in the county courthouse; provided, however, the board of trustees shall retain sufficient funds to provide adequate operating capital, not to exceed twenty (20) percent of the budget for the preceding year.
