§ 15-117. Exceptions.

  • (a)

    The following non-stormwater discharges shall be allowed to flow into the county's MS4, to the extent they are not identified as a source of water pollution:

    (1)

    Potable water line and reuse water line (permitted under F.A.C. ch. 62-610) flushing for maintenance and/or repair;

    (2)

    Lawn and landscape irrigation;

    (3)

    Uncontaminated ground water infiltration (as defined at 40 CFR 35.2005(20)) to separate storm sewers;

    (4)

    Uncontaminated pumped ground water, provided that prior written approval is received from Orange County Public Works Department;

    (5)

    Air conditioning condensate;

    (6)

    Springs, wetlands, diverted stream flows and rising ground waters on a temporary basis with appropriate permits and approvals;

    (7)

    Individual residential car washing;

    (8)

    Street wash waters;

    (9)

    Discharges for flows from emergency firefighting activities, and emergency response activities employing best management practices;

    (10)

    Foundation drains, footing drains, and water from crawl space pumps;

    (11)

    Flows from uncontaminated roof drains;

    (12)

    Dechlorinated/desalinated swimming pool water; and

    (13)

    Discharges in compliance with all required NPDES permits issued.

    (b)

    Discharges resulting from lawful use of permitted drainwells for flood control, to the extent they are not identified as a source of pollutants to waters of the county, shall not be prohibited by this article.
