§ 15-822. Purpose and intent.

This article is established to implement the goals, objectives and policies of the comprehensive plan adopted by the board to help preserve lands conceptually identified as stewardship lands on the Innovation Way ELSP Map, or other lands within the Innovation Way Overlay that meet one (1) or more of the primary principles. The primary principles are:

(a)

Provide additional buffering along the Econlockhatchee River;

(b)

Create, enhance and preserve wildlife corridors;

(c)

Provide adequate crossings for wildlife and water conveyance;

(d)

Protect habitat on ecologically important lands; and

(e)

Protect rare habitat.
