§ 21-249. Persons authorized to place transit facilities within the public right-of-way.

  • (a)

    A transit bench provider or transit shelter provider may place and maintain in the public right-of-way a transit facility, subject to entering into an agreement with Orange County, and complying with this division.

    (b)

    The right to place transit shelters in the public right-of-way shall be limited to the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority, a body politic and corporate created pursuant to Part II, Chapter 343, Florida Statutes, commonly known as LYNX, and the I-Drive Master Transit and Improvement District, commonly known as the I-Drive Transit District, provided that placement of transit shelters shall be pursuant to an agreement between LYNX and the county, or between the I-Drive Transit District and the county, whatever the case may be, consistent with the requirements of this division.
