§ 21-266. Violations; penalties.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful to stage, present, or conduct any solicitation activity regulated by this article without first having obtained a permit therefore as provided for herein.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful to knowingly participate in any solicitation activity regulated by this article when a permit has not been issued for such solicitation activity.

    (c)

    It shall be unlawful for any person in charge of, or responsible for, any duly permitted solicitation activity to knowingly fail to comply with any regulatory or administrative requirement or provision of this article.

    (d)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to alter a duly signed and issued solicitation permit in any way.

    (e)

    Any person violating the provisions of this article shall be punished by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment in the county jail for a term not to exceed sixty (60) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, pursuant to section 1-9 of this Code.
