§ 2-111. County contributions for purchases of service credit.
(a)
The county shall remit to the Florida Retirement System Trust Fund its proportionate share of any and all contributions due and owing that trust fund to purchase service credit for officers and employees of the Orange-Seminole-Osceola Transportation Authority, in the event that the Orange-Seminole-Osceola Transportation Authority as an employing agency of the Florida Retirement System is in good faith unable to remit those contributions.
(b)
Proper notice of the amount of contributions due and owing shall consist of an itemized statement from the state division of retirement showing the wages and contributions due thereon for each participating officer and employee of the Orange-Seminole-Osceola Transportation Authority and certification by the state retirement director that the Orange-Seminole-Osceola Transportation Authority is in good faith unable to remit such contributions.
(c)
Payment of such contributions to the trust fund by the board of county commissioners shall in no way release the Orange-Seminole-Osceola Transportation Authority from its obligation to repay same to the board of county commissioners as stipulated by them in a separate agreement.
