§ 2-200. Findings.

The board of county commissioners (the "board") hereby makes the following findings of fact:

(1)

F.S. ch. 243, pt. II, the higher educational facilities authorities law, authorizes counties to activate educational facilities authorities.

(2)

A petition, signed by twenty-five (25) residents of the county, asserting a need for an educational facilities authority has been filed with the board.

(3)

Pursuant to F.S. § 243.21, the board finds that activation of the Orange County Educational Facilities Authority is necessary to provide the fullest opportunity for citizens of the county to develop their intellectual and mental capabilities at institutions for higher education located in the county.
