§ 2-427. Governing board officers and board procedures.

  • The county chairman shall serve as chair, and the governing board shall elect a vice chair. The governing board shall adopt and, from time to time, shall revise its rules of procedure. Five (5) members shall constitute a quorum, and, except as required otherwise by the sales tax ordinance, the affirmative vote of a majority of the voting members present at a meeting shall be necessary for the governing board to take action. The governing board's rules of procedure shall require it to meet no less frequently than once each year and shall further require the governing board to convene a meeting no later than forty-five (45) days after receipt of a written request from a jurisdiction or a recommendation from the oversight board for a change in the project list or scope of a project. Approvals by the governing board of requests and recommendations shall be in accordance with the procedures set forth in the sales tax ordinance and the interlocal agreement.
