§ 32-1. Dumping of trash, garbage, refuse, etc., upon private or public lands; payment of rewards by county; appropriation.

  • (a)

    The board of county commissioners is hereby authorized and empowered to offer and pay rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person violating the provisions of any laws of this state prohibiting the dumping of garbage, refuse or rubbish of any kind whatsoever, on any public park, road, highway, or private property without the consent of the owner. Provided, however, that the amount of any reward payable hereunder shall not be less than ten dollars ($10.00) or greater than fifty (50) percent of any fine imposed by any court, whichever amount may be greater.

    (b)

    The board of county commissioners is hereby authorized to appropriate and expend monies out of the fine and forfeiture fund of the county for the purposes provided in subsection (a) and the appropriation and expenditure of monies for such purposes are hereby declared to be for lawful county purposes.
