§ 32-154. Violations.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to violate any provision of this article, or any provision of any resolution enacted pursuant to the authority of this article. Any person who violates this article, or any resolution enacted pursuant to the authority of this article, may be prosecuted before the county code enforcement board and, if found to have committed a violation of this article, or any provision of any resolution enacted pursuant to the authority of this article, shall be punished in the manner provided by law. The board of county commissioners may further bring suit to restrain, enjoin or otherwise prevent the violation of this article, or any provision of any resolution enacted pursuant to the authority of this article, and shall be entitled to reasonable attorney's fees when it prevails in the suit. The board of county commissioners may also initiate proceedings by referring violations of this article, or any provision of any resolution enacted pursuant to the authority of this article, to the state attorney's office.
