Article IV. WINDERMERE WATER AND NAVIGATION CONTROL DISTRICT |
§ 33-116. Creation, purpose, boundaries of district.
In order to provide for adequate regulation and control of all lakes, canals, streams, waterways, inlets, bays and their alteration by dredging, filling, pumping or otherwise altering the shoreline, land contours and/or water areas, and in the interest of public rights, public welfare, protection of public riparian property rights and the preservation of the natural beauty and attractiveness of the lakes, canals, streams, waterways, inlets and bays, and to control and regulate speed and operation of boats, boating activity and navigation, and to provide adequate notice as to the purchase of lands from the trustees of the internal improvement fund, within the district, and to provide public hearings and recommendations as to the same, there is hereby created the Windermere Water and Navigation Control District within the following described lands situate, lying and being in Orange County, Florida:

In Township 23 South, Range 27 East:
E ¾ of S ½ of Section 1; Section 12 (less W ½ of NW ¼); all of Sections 13 and 24; and N ½ of Section 25.
(2)
In Township 23 South, Range 28 East:
S ¾ of Sections 4 and 5; S ½ of Section 6; all of Sections 7, 8 and 9; N ¾ of W ¼ of Section 10; all of Sections 16 to 21, both inclusive; all of Sections 28, 29 and 30; E ½ of Section 31; and all of Sections 32 and 33.

In Township 24 South, Range 28 East:
All of Sections 4 and 5; N ½ of Section 6; that portion of S ½ of Section 6 and the N ¼ of Section 7 described as follows:
Beginning at the W quarter corner of Section 6, run E along the N line of the S ½ of said section to a point on the shoreline of Lake Mabel; then meander the shoreline of Lake Mabel in a southwesterly direction to the S line of said Section 6; continue meandering the shoreline of Lake Mabel in a southeasterly, easterly and northeasterly direction across the N ¼ of Section 7 to the N line of said Section 7; continue meandering the shoreline of Lake Mabel in a northeasterly direction across the southeast quarter of Section 6 to a point on said shoreline which is intersected by the S quarter line of said Section 6; then E along said S quarter line to the E section line of Section 6; then N along the E line of Section 6 to the E quarter corner of Section 6; then W along the N line of the S ½ of Section 6 to the point of beginning;
All of Section 8 except the following described parcel:
Beginning at the NW corner of Section 8, run E along the N section line of said Section 8 to the point where said N section line intersects the shoreline of South Lake; then meander the shoreline of South Lake in a southwesterly, southeasterly and northeasterly direction to a point where the shoreline of South Lake intersects the W quarter line of Section 8; then S along the W quarter line of Section 8 to the S line of Section 8; then W along the S line of Section 8 to the SW corner of said Section 8; then N along the W line of Section 8 to the point of beginning;
All of section 9; the NW ¼ of the NW ¼ of Section 10; the E ¾ of Section 16; and the N ¼ of Section 21.
