§ 34-210. Engineer's certification of completion.

  • The minimum requirements for substantial compliance with an approved design [shall be:]

    (1)

    Retention ponds:

    a.

    The retention pond including maintenance berm and back slope are contained within the retention pond tract.

    b.

    The elevation of top of berms, toe of slopes and bottom of pond are within plus or minus 0.50 feet of the design elevation.

    c.

    The elevation of outfall structure and piping is within plus or minus 0.20 feet of the design elevation.

    d.

    The outfall conveyance system is located within its easement or tract.

    (2)

    Storm sewers:

    a.

    Field verify at all sag inlets that the pipe invert elevations, gutter line elevation and road centerline elevations are constructed within plus or minus 0.20 feet of the design elevation.

    b.

    Field verify that all outfall inverts are constructed within plus or minus 0.20 feet of the design elevation.

    c.

    Field verify that all compensating storage areas have been constructed within plus or minus 0.50 feet of the design elevation.

    (3)

    Complete the following certification:

    a.

    In the professional opinion of ___________, P.E., as a registered engineer in the State of Florida, I certify that the improvements for grading, paving, drainage facilities, water distribution system and wastewater collection system for the project (description of platted lands) have been completed substantially in compliance with the engineering plans approved by Orange County and in compliance with the Orange County Subdivision Regulations and the Manual of Standards and Specifications for Wastewater and Water Main Construction. This determination is based on construction site observations and review of test reports by me or a representative under my direction. Enclosed are record drawings which I have reviewed prior to this certification. A separate certification for the underdrain construction will be made by the geotechnical engineer.
