§ 37-28. Hearing on franchise application; date, notice, conduct of hearing.

Upon the filing of such application, the board of county commissioners shall fix a date for the hearing of such application and thereupon public notice shall be given in substantially the following form to be published once a week for two (2) successive weeks (two (2) publications, each one (1) week apart) in some newspaper of general circulation published in the county:

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR WATER AND OR SEWER FRANCHISE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT ___________ will apply to the Board of County Commissioners of Orange County, Florida, at _____ o'clock _____.m. on the _____ day of ________, 19___, and all persons affected or interested in such franchise application are invited to be present at said time in the County Commission Room, Orange County Courthouse, Orlando, Florida, to voice their approval or disapproval of said franchise application. DATED this _____ day of ________, 19___.

Upon the date fixed for the hearing of the franchise application, it shall be the duty of the board of county commissioners to consider the franchise application and to hear all persons desiring to be heard thereon and to grant or deny the same.
