§ 3-2. Authority.

  • This chapter is enacted under the home rule of power of the county in the interest of the health, peace, safety, morals, and general welfare of the people of the county, and under the mandate of the people expressed by referendum on November 2, 1982, and under the authority of Orange County to regulate the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages under the Twenty-First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which authority, in part, was confirmed and specifically delegated to the county by Laws of Fla. Ch. 80-559, approved at referendum on September 9, 1980.
