§ 17-288. Equal opportunity and nondiscrimination policy.

It is hereby declared that equal opportunity and nondiscrimination shall be the county's policy intended to assure equal opportunities to every person, regardless of race, religion, sex, color, age, disability or national origin, in securing or holding employment in a field of work or labor for which the person is qualified, as provided and enforced by section 17-314 herein and the county administrative regulations. It is also the county policy that person(s) doing business with the county shall recognize and comply with this policy and that the county shall not extend public funds in a manner as would encourage, perpetuate or foster discrimination.
