§ 20-213. Same—Powers and duties.

  • To accomplish the purposes of the Children and Family Services Board (the "board"), the board shall have the following powers and duties:

    (1)

    The board shall assist the county in soliciting and obtaining donations of cash, services or other resources to directly benefit the children at Great Oaks Village and clients of other programs for children and families operated by the division.

    (2)

    The board shall meet regularly with the staff of the division. The staff shall make regular reports to the board regarding the services provided by the division. The board may assist and consult with the staff regarding the planning and development of new services to be provided by the division.

    (3)

    The board may from time to time issue written reports and recommendations to the county chairman, the board of county commissioners or the county administrator regarding the services provided or recommended to be provided by the division. Upon request from the county chairman or the board of county commissioners, the board will study matters related to the services of the division and will make oral or written reports and recommendations as may be requested by the county chairman or the board of county commissioners.
