§ 31.5-95. Construction signs.

  • (a)

    The maximum allowable copy area of any construction sign on a parcel in a residential district shall be sixty-four (64) square feet per sign face. Such a sign shall not exceed one hundred twenty-eight (128) square feet of copy area per sign face in all other districts.

    (b)

    The maximum height of any construction sign shall be fifteen (15) feet measured from the finished grade level.

    (c)

    A maximum number of one (1) construction sign shall be permitted on a parcel.

    (d)

    A construction sign shall be removed not later than three (3) days after issuance of the certificate of occupancy for the building or structure which was identified by the sign.

    (e)

    A construction sign shall be set back at least five (5) feet from all property lines.

    (f)

    A construction sign, including a mesh fence construction banner, may be erected on unimproved property, provided that the construction sign shall be removed not later than ten (10) days after the expiration of the associated building permit.
